Introduction In our small house, every square inch counts. I had seen somewhere on Pinterest…
I put an Ikea Shelf above the doorway between my living room and kitchen. You can see how I did it Here. I redecorated it for Christmas/ winter time and I wanted to show you what I did.
Here is the shelf:

I found some Christmas wrapping paper that I thought would make a good background for my snowman shelf. I chose these Christmas trees. I cut two pieces of cardboard, and then folded the wrapping paper over the top and bottom of the cardboard. I let the sides stay as they were, because I thought it would look better that way.
Then I added silver garland and some blue and white snowflake lights.*
Lastly, I added some snowmen! They can stay up there past Christmas, throughout the entire winter season. It is such a fun, bright spot to look at throughout the day (and night)!
Snowman Shelf, AFTER!
Directly below this shelf is a new snowman rug.* It covers some Christmas light electric cords and it is a such a cheerful little addition.
I hope that you have been inspired with some new ideas by this post!
