One winter evening I was looking for something quick and easy to make for supper that would be kid-friendly. I decided to invent my own version of Pizza Pie. Here it is in case you want to try it!

I started by putting Totino’s Pepperoni Pizza Rolls in a pie plate. Just like that, the crust is done! That was pretty easy!
I did not have any pizza sauce on hand, so I quickly made some on the stove by adapting this recipe from Pinterest. I used tomato paste instead of tomato sauce. I just added some water. Then I spread the sauce over the Pizza Bites.
Then I sprinkled mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
Then I added more toppings– pineapple on one side, and black olives on the other side.
I baked it in the oven at around 400 degrees until the cheese was melted and the olives were wilted.
I didn’t even have to slice it! It scooped out easily with a spoon. I suppose I could have called it Pizza Bite Casserole.
I served it with a side of peas. My pizza pie was quick, easy, and delicious. You could use whatever toppings that you like, or leave it plain. I think that this would be easy to serve to a crowd, if you baked it on a jelly roll pan. I think this might fit the category of comfort food… what do you think? What variations would you try?
