One winter evening I was looking for something quick and easy to make for supper that would be kid-friendly. I decided to invent my own version of Pizza Pie. Here it is in case you want to try it!

I started by putting Totino’s Pepperoni Pizza Rolls in a pie plate. Just like that, the crust is done!  That was pretty easy!

I did not have any pizza sauce on hand, so I quickly made some on the stove by adapting this recipe from Pinterest.  I used tomato paste instead of tomato sauce.  I just added some water.  Then I spread the sauce over the Pizza Bites.

Then I sprinkled mozzarella cheese over the sauce.

Then I added more toppings– pineapple on one side, and black olives on the other side.

I baked it in the oven at around 400 degrees until the cheese was melted and the olives were wilted.

I didn’t even have to slice it!  It scooped out easily with a spoon.  I suppose I could have called it Pizza Bite Casserole.

I served it with a side of peas.  My pizza pie was quick, easy, and delicious. You could use whatever toppings that you like, or leave it plain. I think that this would be easy to serve to a crowd, if you baked it on a jelly roll pan.  I think this might fit the category of comfort food… what do you think? What variations would you try? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. (Easy Pizza Pie) This is one pizza pie that I know my family would enjoy. I am going to make it for my two son’s birthdays coming up in February.

    1. I’m glad you like it! (Truth be told I made it a year ago and didn’t get the post written… and well… sometimes it happens like that! If I could keep up to date with all my ideas I’d post once a day at the very least! : ))
