Introduction

Today I want to share with you my collection of Fourth of July decorations, just in time for our upcoming Independence Day. It seems appropriate that someone with the name Liberty should decorate for this holiday, don’t you think?!  Do you decorate much for the Fourth of July?

The Living Room

This is in our main living room.

The fabric on the television is an Americana valance curtain that I made for a window at a previous apartment.  You can see it below, hanging in our condo dining room window.

I also made matching chair cushions.

Back to the living room—

Since my children are wearing blue, they fit the color scheme! I just taped their pictures onto an old window frame that I found. I tried the pictures behind the frame, but I like the photographs better on top.

I crocheted the red, gold, and white dresser scarf a long time ago. I designed it myself.  I think it was originally for Valentine’s Day or Christmas.  It fits with the Fourth of July, also! Those three holidays are about the only time that you will see me using red in my decor, since it isn’t my favorite color.

Here is the right side– just a few things that I’ve collected over the years.

These Liberty Bears probably began my Fourth of July collection. They were all gifts from my parents. They are very soft, and the highlight of the decorations.  They always make me smile!

This pillow was a gift from a piano student.

I like the shadow the light makes of the USA! These are just wooden ornaments that I picked up a few years ago.

This Sweet Land of Liberty sign was given to me by a former employer.  People really seem to enjoy giving me things with that saying on them!

This flag blanket is draped over my piano bench.

Here is my couch.  I crocheted the zig zag blanket a long time ago from some scrap yarn.

This flag pillow was also a gift.

The Kitchen

Now on to the kitchen.   Here are my July Fourth themed star placemats, and a heart shaped flag serving dish. These were all gifts.

I also have these glass star shaped serving bowls that nest for storage.

Aren’t they cute?! Once again, they are gifts from a (now former) piano student.  Here is a similar version in melamine from Amazon.

Here they are all together.

At the end of the season last year, I bought these star wall stickers on clearance, probably half off.  I don’t remember where I found them.

I decided that they would look nice on my oven in the kitchen! They are very sticky, so I hope they are as removable as they claim to be.  They go well with the patriotic star theme that I have accidentally going on in the kitchen!

Here is a closeup….

And last but not least is this little throw rug that I found on clearance from Lakeside.  You can still purchase it from Amazon, HERE.

My newest addition to my patriotic decorations is this little mat at our patio door that I found at Boscov’s.  I wasn’t sure whether to use it for Valentine’s Day or Memorial Day/ Fourth of July!

I hope that seeing these Fourth of July decorations inspire you as you decorate your own spaces.  July 5th is the perfect time to go Clearance shopping for decorating your home next year!! Let me know in the comments if you find something good.  Happy Independence Day!
