This Christmas tree turned Liberty tree is very simple. Have you ever decorated a tree for something besides Christmas?

Since this miniature tree is white, I can decorate it for all sorts of occasions! In fact, if I didn’t already have my pine cone tree, I probably would begin decorating this one for different seasons. I may just do it anyway.

I have tons of patriotic decor that I use every summer. So it was easy for me to want to decorate this little white Christmas tree for the Fourth of July.

Have you heard of the original Liberty tree? It was a real tree under which the first resistance to the British rule happened, in 1765.

I named mine a Liberty tree because my name is Liberty! (I also added a blue block that says “LIBERTY” at the base of the tree later on.)

1
Start with a mini white prelit Christmas tree, preferably one that someone gave you. 😉

2
I had some red and blue tinsel I have had for so long I don’t remember where it came from!

3
I draped the tinsel onto the tree.

4
I added foam glitter stars from a yardsale find.

5
Lastly I draped more tinsel around the base, and turned on the lights! Patriotic Christmas ornaments would look good on this tree, too.

Oh, and one more thing. I thought this 3D printed block of my name, LIBERTY, looked good at the base of the tree when I decorated my faux mantel area.

I hope you will view some of my other patriotic ideas like How I Made A Very Starry Red White And Blue Wreath.
