Lots of people are stumped when it comes to finding a place to hang a wreath in their home. While a door might seem to be an obvious place, there are so many more great ways to hang a wreath! And then…. after you’ve figured out where– you’ll need to know How to Hang a Wreath. Find out all you need to know in the helpful How To articles below.
Frugal Wreath Ideas
If you like saving money like I do, then you will love these creative ideas for making your own wreaths at a fraction of the cost if you were to buy them. You can use these wreaths year after year, give them as gifts, or reuse the bases to make a different wreath next time.
Where can you get supplies for your wreaths that won’t cost you much money? Or where can you even get wreath supplies for free! Let me tell you some ways! First, start with free items from nature. You can find pine cones in your yard, cattails by the creek, gum tree balls, leaves, shells from the ocean…. things like that. Let your friends know that you are crafting and if they are cleaning out any supplies, that you can take them off of their hands. People have given me boxes of lace, yarn, beads, washi tape— all sorts of items that I save to use in the future. Just today someone asked me if I wanted a bunch of nearly new sheets. I said– sure! I can use them for fabric (or tablecloths….).
Join your local Buy Nothing Facebook group. Then watch for when people list things they are getting rid of. Then of course, shop yard sales and flea markets. Often, you can get brand new supplies for just a couple of dollars. And don’t forgot to shop after-holiday clearance. You don’t need to pay full price for craft supplies. You can wait until after Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Easter, etc., to get things for half price!
